Gourmet au Bay, only better!

Short Summary

Gourmet au Bay turned 20 in 2015! And because of supporters like you, we have grown to a point that our current location is just not working for us (and more importantly, YOU!). We need a bigger outside area, we need more parking, we need more inside seating…fortunately, we’ve been able to secure the only other available waterfront location in Bodega Bay. And we are expanding the concept of GAB to include a wood fired oven! The move is planned for April 2016.

All the planning and designing we are doing is with our customers in mind. We want the GAB experience to be better than ever. We are so excited about the opportunity to create an even better Gourmet au Bay.

That’s where you come in. This move, although needed, wasn’t entirely in the long term plan. We want to offer our customers some awesome deals in exchange for helping us procure the BEST wood fired oven – manufactured right here in Sonoma County!

What We Need & What You Get

The Mugnaini Wood Fired Oven is the best for what we want to create. The great news is the oven will be visible from the shop, so you will be able to watch flatbreads being fired in the kitchen.

The oven we need is $10,500. All the funds from this campaign will go toward the oven. Any funds over and above the cost of the oven will help us to offset the cost of building out the kitchen and shop.

We are offering some really awesome perks – discounted gift cards, exclusive T-Shirts and Hats, party’s for you and your friends. AND our original Wine Surfboards are up for grabs! (Don’t worry, we’re having new ones made…Wine Surfing isn’t going anywhere!)

The Impact

The difference this move and expansion will make for Gourmet au Bay is big! Because we are moving off the highway, we’re confident the addition of a kitchen will entice folks to go the extra mile to find us. 

We know you all are behind us and want us to continue. That’s why we are asking for your help.

Risks & Challenges

Our biggest challenge other than budget is making sure that we are able to reach our customers – old and new! We’ve put together a great team of folks to help us design the new space and the menu. We have a marketing plan in place to get the word out about our new location. But our biggest asset are the customers that have supported us through the years.
