New Android App Helping Yelp Users Decide Better

Kickstarter today debuts Uptrader, a new Android app that will help Yelp users make better spending decisions. Uptrader uses the Smart Choices methodology found in the bestselling book, Smart Choices, to help Yelp users resolve a complex buying decision by breaking listings into separate elements, helping them think systematically about each one, and then reassembling it into the smart choice.

You wouldn’t believe how the entrepreneur got the idea: “I was an preparing for an interview with Yelp by reading up on their blog posts. When one article expressed Yelp’s focus on helping consumers make smart transactional decisions,” said Justin K. Grayman, Uptrader founder and CEO. “I immediately thought of decision-making homework that bugged me a lot because doing it by hand took so long. I felt like I could contribute to Yelp in more than just an entry-level capacity; so during my job hunt and in-between classes, I hacked up this Android app for Yelpers.”

Today, Uptrader is excited to be crowdfunding to release this Android app, here on Kickstarter. Just in time for the giving season, backers of Uptrader will receive opportunities to receive swag items, honorary team membership, and even a provate dinner in Chicago with the Uptrader team. Uptrader guarantees all backers a special thanks in the company’s app, as well as free newsletter access.

Also starting today, Yelp enthusiasts can visit the Uptrader website to get the desktop version of Uptrader. The website was launched with the debut of the mobile app on Kickstarter and offers a companion, desktop tool for breaking down Yelp reviews.

Uptrader is a powerful tool for helping Yelp users make smarter spending decisions. It helps Yelp users resolve a complex buying decision by breaking listings into separate elements, helping them think systematically about each one, and then reassembling it into the smart choice. Uptrader even guards Yelpers against attempts by business owners to mislead them with false, biased, or incomplete information. Uptrader is the only brand offering the structured, proven approach for making decisions, based on the Smart Choices and Even Swaps methodologies found in the bestselling book, Smart Choices.
