My wife and I started this company because our friends pushed us. In the beginning, they saw the potential in our product more than we did. We started with the SF Street Food Festival and it has since grown from a single specialty street food product into a full service catering business servicing private parties, corporate events and luncheons, . Needless to say, we too now see what they saw all along. We are now looking to expand, and we need your help.
Pinx is a full service caterer with an elevated comfort food perspective. We began in 2011 with the SF Street Food Festival at the zealous insistance of our friends. Since that initial foray, we have continued down the path of accidental entrepreneurism. Because this was never in our plans, we have never had the “funding” or industry experience, so we have learned many lessons on the fly. But because we didn’t know what we didn’t know, we work with the likes of Genentech, Kaiser Permanente, Groupon, Yelp, and Pixar.
We are currently looking to get our own facility which will allow us to take our enterprise to the next level. This began as a dinner party, and now it has become a viable business in less than 5 years is nothing short of amazing and we have a responsibility to do all we can to keep it going.
The space we are looking to lease does not currently have a stove or a refridgerator. The space itself will allow us to reduce our operational costs (food shopping and store runs) by more than 17%. The lease (inclusive of utilities and garbage) would reduce our monthly expenditure by 48%. This savings would allow us the flexibility to be more profitiable and to give us the liquidity to take advantage of any other opportunities that may arise. On a personal level the savings would reduce the stress on my wife and I as we have completely bootstrapped this operation from the beginning. The benefit of the breathing room and stability the new kitchen would provide cannot be adequately quantified.
