Polyphonic Drums was born of enduring passion for drums and many notebooks filled with ideas, goals, lists, sketches and floor plans. While the ideas evolved over a period of several years, the real progress began in July of 2014 when I quit my job to focus on the business full-time.

Polyphonic Drums is a comprehensive source for drum repair, restoration, service & parts. While the full scope of the business is much larger, the current focus is restoring vintage bass drum pedals for reliable contemporary use.

The business also currently offers an extremely large selection of vintage and modern drum parts as well as restored vintage drum equipment, trades, consignment, and consulting.

A special and unique feature of the business is catering to special, odd or custom requests. A few notable examples include: a drum set designed for busking that fits entirely into a 16″x16″ case, custom fabricated extra-long bass drum beaters & an extra-tall hi-hat stand, custom stands to hold a very large, customer-invented instrument, and a bass drum pedal modified to control the mouth of a Ventriloquist’s Puppet!

This loan will be used to expand the current workspace and purchase the following new machinery and tools necessary for high-level bass drum pedal restoration:
