Save CircusWA: run by a group of dedicated and talented circus performers

Save CircusWA

A 25 Year History

Community circus has been a part of the Fremantle landscape since CircusWA started some 25 years ago. Over this time we have helped thousands of young people develop into confident, healthy individuals, build life long friendships and in some cases, kick start an exciting career in performance and circus.

CircusWA began its journey in the area of street performance and was established and run by a group of dedicated and talented circus performers.

As well as performing, this group of performers had a vision to teach the skills of circus to the wider community and give aspiring, creative people the chance to be part of this fantastic art form.

This was the birth of CircusWA as we know it today.

Since these humble beginnings, CircusWA has grown into an organisation which now provides a range of circus activities including term classes for all ages, circus birthday parties, school holiday workshops, corporate workshops and outreach workshops for community groups and schools throughout WA.

Our Vision !

As a not-for-profit group, financial and in-kind support from the local community and corporate sector is vital for the continued success of CircusWA.

We aim to create a fun and enriching social circus experience in a safe, creative and supportive environment for as many people as possible. We want to be part of helping people of all ages have fun, get fit and build lasting friendships.

We have a vision to expand our scholarship program for underprivileged youth and provide opportunities and financial assistance for talented students to attend classes and train in our space.

Working with our training group, we also plan to refine and develop our structured learning environment to allow all participants to reach their potential.

The Juggling Act

Over the next 2 – 3 years we will be expanding our term class and holiday class programs to help generate increased revenue to support our vision. We will also strengthen our performance troupe ‘Sliders’ and develop original performances for presentation at the Space and in the community.

We believe that young people from all walks of life need opportunities to be part of positive and creative environments. It doesn’t matter what their background or skills – there will be something at CircusWA they can do!

The need for young people (actually all people!) to stay active and belong to a group with positive role models and mentors has never been more important.

Your support will help us reach our target of $50,000.00 ensuring CircusWA can continue to deliver the thrill of circus for generations to come.
