New All-in-one Plate And Container Completely Reinvents How Kids Eat Now On Kickstarter

Chomp! Launch Release

Chomp!™, the Folding Platainer™ Mealtime System, Launches Kickstarter Campaign to Bring Parents a Simpler Mealtime Solution
Chomp! uses fun characters and folding technology to make mealtime fun for kids and simple for parents

Chomp!™ is the world’s first patented plate and container all in one – we call it a Platainer™ and it’s a game changer. Its unique four section design separates meals neatly and folds up to form a compact carry along food container that goes anywhere and makes food storage a cinch. Chomp!™ is microwave and dishwasher safe, BPA free and comes in four super FUN character designs.

Oviedo, FL – The design team behind Chomp! launched their Kickstarter campaign today and is looking to raise a total of $50,000 to help bring their product to life. Chomp! is the simple, yet fun, folding plate that turns into a storage container when closed. It’s as easy as filling Chomp! with children’s favorite food or snacks, closing it shut to save the leftovers and storing it in the fridge for a later time.

Chomp!’s fun characters, which include an alligator, shark, puppy or kitty, will make mealtime fun for little ones, especially when they can use the Chomp! handle to carry it with them anywhere. Chomp! is also microwavable, dishwasher safe and eliminates the need to use any additional storage containers or plates, which means fewer cleanup for parents. With Chomp!, it’s easy to prepare breakfast the night before, put it in the fridge and make morning routines a cinch.

“As a mother and a former nurse, I watch the struggles of parents trying to get their kids to eat healthy on a day-to-day basis. I even struggle with my own child sometimes,” said the creator of Chomp!, Dawn Janowitz. “With Chomp! we hope to provide a product that will make kids want to eat all of their fruits and veggies, while satisfying parents and making the cleanup a bit easier.”

How to do content marketing for crowdfunding

blog-793047_640

In our previous article we explained why content marketing is important for your crowdfunding campaign. Now we are going to tell you how to do it more effectively.

Content marketing for crowdfunding is not just a video. That’s the basics. You should definitely do it, but if you want to grow your audience and expose yourself to more business opportunities and sales, you must take action in all fronts possible while keeping your campaign cost effective.

First and foremost, you should have a blog. Hire a reputable professional company or writer to post for you, and be assured they copy check and fact check every piece of content. It is your reputation that is at stake, so carefully examine everything in the beginning. Be assured that most of the content you publish in your blog stays in it. Don’t just post your articles everywhere on the web. Original content is important if you want to rank in Google.

Then, you should get links to it. We are not talking just about a Facebook page, although mixing them together is certainly a good idea. Do some guest posts in well known blogs with established audiences (though Google has advised against it, if you don’t optimize anchors in your articles, you should be okay). Make people know your site is alive.

Promote your content. It looks strange, but buying Adwords and promoting your posts in Facebook is a cost effective way to grow your visibility exponentially. Plus, by doing it you’ll gain followers, shares, likes and possibly links, all of which combined with good user experience signals can boost your rankings in search engines. And you definitely want those rankings.

Just as you shouldn’t neglect SEO, you shouldn’t neglect social media as well. Be present in every media that matters to your business. Make sure you properly post to each channel, with the right titles to entice people to read your articles. You can and should automate everything you can, by installing a plugin like nextScripts in your WordPress blog to publish your posts in every social media channel. Then create each post thinking about one or more specific social media channels. Here are some tips:

  • Facebook users love videos and images. Make sure your automatic posts plugin properly grabs media in your posts to publish on the channel. People using Facebook are mostly in their smartphones and in leisure time, but bear in mind that many people use it professionally or to read news as well. So your titles should appeal to your public, to the people profile that follows your page
  • Instagram users love images, but you can post short videos (3 to 15 seconds) as well. People use it mostly in leisure time, so make sure your posts are attractive to people in that mindset.
  • Linkedin users love career related articles. You can use Pulse to boost your articles but you can get better results if your posts are related to that public. Make sure your titles are serious, provocative and instructional in nature. It is a good idea to set up your plugin to post automatically only from a given category.
  • Twitter is mostly about text: your title must be well crafted to your audience. Twitter is used by all types of people, though it tends a little towards influencers. That’s why you shouldn’t neglect it.

Last, hire a PR agency, like iCrowdNewsWire. Companies like ours have journalists and strong social media influencers in our database, so by hiring us you can make sure your content reaches people who can write about you in high traffic vehicles. This will increase the chances that you get larger exposure and help your SEO, by making your blog more likely to get links from reputable sources. iCrowdNewsWire is specialized in press release distribution for crowdfunding and SMEs, so we are the best channel on the internet to leverage your content marketing efforts.

http://getthepillbox.com/kickstarter

– An active life requires great organisation skills. We are constantly being busy and every convenience that is making our schedule less crowded is gladly welcomed. That is why we created the PillBox – to protect what is the most important – health – says Marcin Michalak, one of co-founders.

The PillBox consist of a central unit, dispensing modules, dedicated app and synchronizing everything web platform. Users of a dedicated app can easily access detailed information about taken drugs, and find out about interactions between them. What is more, it is possible to check whether a particular med is dangerous during pregnancy and breastfeeding, can affect driving abilities, or if it interacts with alcohol. User will be also notified about a low drug supply.

The PillBox was created to match the needs of all users. A notification about forthcoming dosage is being sent to the mobile, and after that the PillBox is using a visual, sound and Braille notifications to lead to the proper medicine. The creators did not forget about the youngest ones. To help them get through sick days, they have prepared a customized modules that will make them smile!

– We have realised that people taking meds are often elderly and struggle with disabilities. Our device and interfaces was designed to match especially their needs. It has large screen, Braille’s indicators, ability to regulate the volume of the alarm and light indicators to make taking meds simplier. During the prototyping we were looking to help blind people as well – to eliminate the risk of taking wrong pill, patient move his finger through special tracking edge that indicate him right container.

Campaign on Kickstarter launched on 05.10.2015. Estimated time of delivery was set to Jul 2016.

– We are the team of doctors, engineers and designers, fascinated with new technologies and medicine. Our idea is to create a well-engineered telemedicine solution, accessible everywhere and affordable for everyone, to increase the comfort of life. We are ready to work hard to achieve it. We are hoping to take the telemedicine to the next level, having the PillBox used in homes all around the world. Finally we are looking forward to warm response from the crowdfunding community. – says Michalak

The importance of content to boost your crowdfunding campaign

word-cloud-661057_640

Content marketing is buzzing right now. Everyone is talking about it, everyone is saying that your company should do it. However, many SME owners are still skeptical about throwing money in a new tactic, about producing content that does not directly advertise their companies or products. Can this really work?

The resistance is understandable. Now and then the market adopts some fashion ideas that do not prove to be right, and that happens mostly in financial and the internet world. Both markets where we at iCN work in. Yes, that happens to crowdfunding as well.

But I’ll give you reasons why you should do content marketing for your company. I’ll tell you why you should always adopt that strategy in order to make your company more exposed to the market, increasing your chances of attracting more business.

It’s a fact, there is a genuine demand for content. People really pay attention to interesting stories, they buy based on information they have seen in a newspaper or magazine. Think about it: where do you advertise your business? Major publications? Google? Facebook? Do you realize they are mostly content based businesses? That’s the point. Actually, many of the largest businesses in the world are content driven ones.

And all content based businesses have a specific characteristic that makes them very appealing to the public and investors as well: they have a followers base. People flock to them in order to stay up to date with current news and gather information. Everything they publish, even the smallest blogs, automatically reaches thousands or millions of people. I say automatically because they don’t need to pay for advertising in order to do this, most of the time. Actually, other companies pay to advertise in those channels.

That’s the goal of content marketing: building a followers base. Building credibility. Wouldn’t it be good if you could have your own base of followers? Did you hear about those blogs with thousands of readers per day? Wouldn’t it be good for your business if your blog was one of those? That’s what we are talking about: making your marketing efforts easier and cheaper while reaching more and more people.

In our next article, we cover how you can adopt the most effective content marketing strategy.

Circuses And Dinosaurs And 1918, Oh My!

LOS ANGELES, 4 October 2015–After contributing his artistic talent to shows like “The PJs” and “Celebrity Deathmatch” and taking awards for his amazing animation and stop motion shorts in features such as “Fish Tales”, Timothy Smyth is bringing a thrilling tale straight from our childhood imaginations.

PS–It’s great to meet you. I’m a huge fan of your website and wanted to pass on something new that could be a nice fit for your film & television section. I’ve attached images of TYRANNOCIRCUS REX’s creator, TIMOTHY SMYTH. Our Kickstarter page has a video and bullet points on why TYRANNOCIRCUS REX Kickstarter project is unique.

We think TYRANNOCIRCUS REX Kickstarter project could be a great story for you for these reasons:

Dynamic Duo–Timothy Smyth and .

Daring Plotline–The preternatural fascination with dinosaurs is entwined with our morbid curiosity of circuses. Combine those with a silent movie motif, and audiences are mesmerized.

Revolutionary Stayput Technology Inspires An Unspillable Bowl Available Exclusively On Kickstarter

stayput

LOS ANGELES, Calif., Oct. 5, 2015 — When Harry Zimmerman first conceived the now-patented StayPut technology out of frustration from his kids constantly knocking over bowls of food, the concept quickly developed into a product parents and everyone else alike would find incredibly useful. Zimmerman holds a degree in engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Champaign.

The engineers Zimmerman employed to render the 3D drawings necessary to build a prototype were originally skeptical of the design and said it would not work, and upon first run creation discovered that it not only worked, but could be a game changer in the industry. “They still talk to me to this day about how marveled they were that it worked!” said Zimmerman. It’s taken more than 5 years to get to the current prototype and the team is dedicated to getting the technology into the hands of other who will benefit the most.

The first iteration of the product using the technology is called the Bumpit Bowl. It does not use adhesive or suction to remain stable on virtually any surface and is resistant to almost any motion that would knock the bowl over. Yet, when it comes time to pick it up, the Bumpit Bowl is as easy to pick up as a regular bowl. The effect feels like magic.

The BPA-free Bumpit Bowl is also double insulated, which means that it retains temperature like a thermos and stays safe to touch even if its contents are hot. The inner bowl is microwave safe, and is certified by UL, as well as dishwasher safe. It comes with a top and is easy to take on the go. It also comes with a removable divider, allowing for a shallower bowl and storage of up to three kinds of food.

Harry is working in conjunction with his two kids Evan, an honors economics student at the University of Chicago and Zachary, who studies real estate development at the University of Southern California, who bring fresh perspectives in contemporary consumer products. As an independent, family operation, quality will never be an issue.

With delivery promised by December of this year, a single dishwasher safe bowl that will save you tons of frustration is running at a pledge amount of only $20.

Emmy winner Ron Noble has developed a cartoon and a signed copy of his book, Letter Beasties is also available as a perk for contribution.

“We are experienced hardware developers and have the experience to see this through and address any issues that come our way,” promises the campaign.

Giving Without Goals Can Leave Donors Feeling Unfulfilled

asia

Asia Pacific Brokerage Charitable Launches Campaign to Help Donors Create a Plan; For the 68 Percent of Pre-Retirees Expecting to Increase Their Charitable Activity, It’s a Good Time to Develop a Mission

Hong Kong, 2015 –  Although the majority of donors know which charities they will support each year, only 22 percent have a mission statement or set of goals to guide their giving, according to Giving and Planning, a new study from Asia Pacific Brokerage Charitable. A separate study by a third party found that only two of five donors are highly satisfied with the impact they are making through their charitable efforts, and only one in five believe their giving is highly effective.

“Many of our donors plan to expand their commitment to philanthropy within the next five years, with full-time employed donors in their fifties most likely to anticipate increasing the time they spend on philanthropic activities,” said Chian Yuncao, president of Asia Pacific Brokerage Charitable. “Having a mission statement to guide one’s giving can amplify the impact of charitable contributions, as well as boost the confidence donors have in their giving and the satisfaction they get from it.”

Key findings from the survey of 1,078 Asia Pacific Brokerage Charitable donors are:

  • Most know where they will give: 78 percent of donors have a good sense of which charities they will support each year and 53 percent know how much they will give.
  • Women are more likely to have a plan: 27 percent of women compared to only 19 percent of men have developed a mission statement to guide their giving.
  • Using a donor-advised fund improves planning: 29 percent plan their giving further in advance after setting up a donor-advised fund.

New crowdfunding legislation in Portugal

Flag_of_Portugal.svg

As crowdfunding kicks in everywhere in the world, Portugal introduces new rules on crowdfunding this week.

The text is the Portuguese equivalent to the American JOBS Act. It defines all types of crowdfunding (reward, loan, donation and equity) and establishes rules for each of them.

Below are key highlights of the new legislation:

  • There are no restrictions on platform ownership. Any person or company can own them, regardless of their business area
  • Platforms can operate in more than one crowdfunding type. They must obey to the rules specific to each mode
  • Platforms must ensure confidentiality of every information present in them
  • Platforms cannot recommend investments nor offer any kind of sales commission to their personnel
  • Platforms cannot offer investment funds nor keep securities. All securities must be issued directly by the companies seeking funds
  • Loan and equity campaigns cannot be present in more than one platform
  • Rewards and donation based crowdfunding initiatives cannot raise more than 10 times their initial goal
  • Rewards and donation based campaigns must communicate Direção Geral do Consumidor, the consumer protection authority before they start their activities
  • Loan and equity types must all be communicated to CMVM (Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários), the Portuguese equivalent to Securities and Exchange Commission
  • Loan and equity types must establish a maximum raising value, regardless of the goal
  • CMVM can establish a maximum annual value that an entity can raise or an investor can invest

Attention should be given to situations that cause conflicts of interest, which are cited several times in the law. It says that platforms must do their best efforts to avoid such situations, which can arise when personnel involved with the platform participate in crowdfunding campaigns within it, in any roles, when their interests are contrary to that of investors or beneficiaries.
