The White Stag Quadrilogy: Scandal, Sex, Obsession & North Hollywood. The story behind the making of Jerry Wolfert’s never-before-seen, 4 part cinematic triumph!

In February 2016 On the Rocks Theatre Company and Dixon Place will present the world premier of OTR’s original play: The White Stag Quadrilogy. 

In the land of impossible plots, Jerry Wolfert became a genre unto himself: war vet turned occult priest turned self published novelist turned pariah. With his ex-wife and an assortment of old pals in supporting roles, the surprises continued when he reinvented himself as a filmmaker. On The Rocks brings you the story behind the making of Wolfert’s four part cinematic triumph, The White Stag Quadrilogy, when the dark prince of North Hollywood moved into the ranks of the mythic.

The Jerry Wolfert character has long been an obsession of On The Rocks. In January 2015 OTR presented the first installment of The Jerry Wolfert Saga at Dixon Place in an original dance-theatre piece depicting his first night in Hollywood — New Years Eve 1969.

With The White Stag Quadrilogy we intend to finish the Jerry Wolfert story as it jumps ahead to his career as an avant-garde filmmaker in the late 70s and to his mysterious whereabouts in the 1980s. 

On The Rocks is very lucky to continue their collaboration with choreographer, Chloe Kernaghan, and the incredibly charming and talented cast comprised of Andrew R. Butler*, Rebeca Miller*, Derek Smith, Michelle Uranowitz and Jaime Wright.

In order to put up this show, we do need money. Your donation would go towards paying for sets (meant to evoke The Plaza Michele, Wolfert’s notorious North Hollywood gentleman’s club), costumes (spanning the polyester decadence of the 70s to the conservative panache of the 80s) , props (A LOT of them and frequently painstakingly handcrafted by Prop Master Extraordinaire CFord), rehearsal space (which is very,very,very pricey in NYC), transportation (you know, renting vans to get our sets, costumes, props, etc., to and from the theatre),  compensating the cast (this is VERY important to us as they work incredibly hard and are really the most important aspect to putting up this show).

The White Stag Quadrilogy is written and designed by Christopher Ford and Dakota Rose, Directed by Dakota Rose, and Choreographed by Chloe Kernaghan!
